AI Chat Assistant

Context-aware conversational AI for real-time document Q&A within the Artifact Viewer.

Overview

The AI Chat Assistant is a built-in, context-aware conversational AI accessible from the Artifact Viewer. Rather than reading through lengthy reports manually, you can interact with any generated artifact in natural language -- asking questions, requesting summaries, and extracting specific insights in real time.

How to Access

From the Artifact Viewer, the right panel displays your artifacts by default. To start chatting:

  1. Open any artifact in the left panel (e.g., AI Discovery Report)
  2. Select the Chat button above the right panel
  3. The right panel switches to the AI Chat interface
  4. Ask questions about the document currently being viewed

To switch back to the artifacts list, select the Artifacts button.

Contextual Awareness

The AI Chat is not a generic chatbot -- it is fully grounded in the document currently open in the left panel. The assistant has complete awareness of:

  • All sections, headings, and content within the report
  • Company-specific data, use cases, and recommendations generated for your project
  • Quantified metrics, ROI projections, and strategic insights
  • Citations and referenced sources embedded in the report

Every response is directly sourced from and relevant to the specific artifact being viewed.

Example Interactions

  • "Summarize this document"
  • "What are the key findings?"
  • "Explain the top 3 use cases"
  • "What is the estimated ROI for the first use case?"
  • "List all the risks mentioned in this report"

You can type any custom question in the input field (up to 5,000 characters) for deeper, more specific queries.

Why This Feature Matters

For enterprise teams working with 15-25+ page technical reports, the AI Chat Assistant dramatically reduces the time needed to extract value:

  • Executives can get instant summaries without reading full reports
  • Technical teams can query specific architecture or implementation details
  • Project managers can extract timelines and KPIs on demand
  • Stakeholders can ask plain-language questions about complex AI strategy documents
  • New team members can onboard quickly by asking contextual questions about existing projects
