Artifacts
Document management, generation hub, artifact viewer, AI chat, and on-demand deliverable generation in Qubitz AI.
The Artifacts system is Qubitz AI's document management and generation hub. It stores all generated deliverables, provides an integrated PDF viewer with AI chat, and enables on-demand generation of additional artifacts.
Artifact Types
Five artifact types are supported:
| Type | Description | Generation Method |
|---|---|---|
| AI Use Case Discovery | AI-powered analysis identifying potential use cases and business opportunities | Auto-generated during Deep Analysis |
| Deep Research | Comprehensive research report with detailed analysis, market insights, strategies | Auto-generated during Deep Analysis |
| Use Case List | Table of AI use cases with business problems, solutions, and outcomes | Auto-generated during Deep Analysis |
| Executive Presentation | Professional PowerPoint for executive stakeholders | On-demand from Artifacts panel |
| AWS Architecture Diagram | Visual AWS infrastructure and services architecture | On-demand from Artifacts panel |
Artifact Viewer & AI Chat
When you select the Artifacts button, a split-panel interface opens:
Left Panel: Document Viewer
Displays the currently selected artifact (e.g., AI Discovery Report). Full-featured viewer with page navigation, zoom controls, rotation, search, print, and download.
Right Panel: Artifacts List
Shows all available artifacts. Select any artifact to expand a dropdown with its versions (v1, v2, v3...). Select a version and it loads in the left panel.
Chat Mode
Above the Artifacts panel, there is a Chat button. Select it to switch the right panel to an AI chat interface where you can ask questions about the currently viewed document.
Artifact Versioning
Every artifact supports versioning. When you expand an artifact category in the panel, you see all generated versions with creation dates:
AI Use Case Discovery
└── AI Use Case Discovery v1 — 17/2/2026
Deep Research
└── Deep Research v1 — 17/2/2026
Use Case List
└── Use Case List v1 — 17/2/2026
Each regeneration creates a new version (v2, v3...) without overwriting previous versions. Click any version to open it in the artifact viewer.
Generating New Artifacts
Click "Generate New Artifact" at the bottom of the Artifacts panel. The generation form is context-dependent -- different fields appear based on the selected artifact type:
| Artifact Type | Fields Shown | Required Inputs |
|---|---|---|
| AI Use Case Discovery | Instructions | Custom text prompt |
| Deep Research | Instructions | Custom text prompt |
| Use Case List | Instructions | Custom text prompt |
| Executive Presentation | Select AI Discovery Report Version, Tone | Report version dropdown, Tone selector |
| AWS Architecture Diagram | Select Use Case | Use case dropdown |
Status Indicators During Generation
- "Generating Artifact" header with loading spinner
- Status bar with progress messages (e.g., "Initializing...", "Starting diagram generation job...", "Connecting to PPT generator...")
- "Status: message" text below the progress bar
- Cancel button to abort generation
Regenerating with Custom Instructions
The Artifacts system supports iterative refinement through the Instructions field. This is the key feature for customizing any report-type artifact.
How it works
- Open Generate New Artifact
- Select the artifact type to regenerate (e.g., Deep Research)
- In the Instructions text field, write natural-language guidance
- Click Generate
- A new versioned artifact appears (e.g., "Deep Research v2")
Example Instructions
- "Create a more comprehensive report"
- "Focus more on healthcare verticals and HIPAA compliance"
- "Add a section on data governance and privacy"
- "Make the tone more executive-friendly with less technical detail"
- "Include more quantified ROI projections"
- "Expand the competitive analysis section"
Key principle: Regeneration creates a new version, never overwrites the original. This enables iterative exploration -- you can generate multiple versions targeting different audiences (technical team vs. C-suite vs. board) while preserving the full history.
